Safranbolu, on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is one of Turkey’s most precious historic cities — having preserved to the present day its Ottoman-era mansion architecture, marketplace tradition, and unique urban fabric. Hilton Garden Inn, brought to life in this extraordinary city, bridges Hilton’s global brand standards with Safranbolu’s unique history, offering visitors an accommodation experience both immersed in history and wrapped in contemporary comfort. For this meaningful project, Kolsan designed and produced furniture solutions that are sensitive to the historic environment and aligned with the contemporary identity of the Hilton Garden Inn brand.

Wooden tones inspired by Safranbolu’s traditional mansion sensibility, texture and pattern choices that pay homage to traditional Turkish handicrafts, and material selections suited to the region’s climate conditions formed the fundamental building blocks of this collection. In every furniture piece, both functionality and regional identity were kept at the forefront — this project contributes to guests’ experiencing the spirit of Safranbolu in its purest form during their stay.

This project, situated at the heart of our own cultural heritage, holds special meaning for Kolsan. Contributing through furniture production to the efforts to preserve and develop Turkey’s historic fabric is also a reflection of our brand’s social and cultural responsibility.
